TECH CENTRAL IE: The centre to be located at Dublin City University

The Government has invested €5 million in the launch of an Irish Centre for Cloud Computing and Commerce (IC4).

The government-funded technology centre located at Dublin City University is designed to drive cloud computing innovation and adoption in Ireland, as well as create new jobs. IC4 has the support of Microsoft, Fujitsu, Intel and IBM and will focus on partnering researchers with industry "in order to turn good research ideas into good jobs in the Irish economy", said the Government.
