CKAN makes it easy to publish, share and find data. It provides a powerful database for cataloging and storing datasets, with an intuitive web front-end and a powerful (web) API. The core functionality can be flexibly extended with the features you need – from social integration and comments, to Google Analytics, to integrated data storage as well as existing modules for CMS integration for e.g. WordPress. See the CKAN Website for more information.
CKAN is open source, free software under the Affero GNU GPL v3.0 license. This means that you can use it without any license fees, integrate it within your IT enviroment (or use a hosted version) and contribute to the CKAN project with own modules. To build sustainable and up-to-date services based on CKAN we provide consulting and assistance on various levels:
To get a solid and up-to-date solution in cataloging and storing your datasets, you can rely on our consultancy and professional services team in Vienna and the CKAN experts of Open Knowledge Foundation.
