Thesauri are light weight models that offer an intuitive approach to knowledge organisation. Data which is organized in Thesauri support the structured access to documents, databases and web resources and helps to make these sources searchable beyond simple full text search. Hence they support knowledge relationship discovery and help to uncover hidden but relevant facts.
