From Research to Application
The Semantic Web has altered to a very dynamic and comprehensive issue within the information-society. Whereas the years from 2001 to 2005 where characterized as far-reaching direction settings by means of standard-definitions and developing of basic technologies there has been a lively convergence with other issues as Web 2.0, new media technologies or bioinformatics. Companies learn within pilot projects the strategic effects of „semantisizing“ the information management. Further on they learn how to deal with questions, addressing the implementation, scalability and user acceptance of the technology.
