Andreas Blumauer - CEO / Head of Division Consulting & Projects

Andreas Blumauer Banner

Andreas Blumauer studied Computer Sciences and Business Administration and started his career as a software developer for financial services. In 1998 he co-founded punkt.net Services, a specialised software company, which has developed several national and international knowledge platforms. He is a managing partner at the Semantic Web Company and responsible for several consultancy projects. Andreas is lecturer at several Universities of Applied Sciences in Vienna – FHWien and FH Technikum Wien – and at the University of Applied Sciences Campus02 Graz, in the areas of Knowledge Management Systems and Semantic Technologies.

Tassilo Pellegrini - Head of Division Transfer & Media

Tassilo Pellegrini Banner

Tassilo Pellegrini studied International Trade, Communication Science and Political Science. He started his career at the Department of Media Economics at the University of Salzburg and later worked as a project manager at Prognos AG, the European Center for Policy and Economic Research (Basel/CH). In 2004 he co-founded the Semantic Web School - Centre for Knowledge Transfer, in Vienna. Parallel to his engagement at the Semantic Web Company, Tassilo Pellegrini is a lecturer at the Department of Media Management at St, Pölten University of Applied Sciences and is regularly publishes about issues like semantic technologies, new media technologies, media economics and politics.

Martin Kaltenböck - CFO & Senior Consultant

Martin Kaltenböck

As a co-founder of the Semantic Web Company (SWC), Martin Kaltenböck has been working in consulting and project management for many years. His focus is on content management, community environments, social semantic web and network technologies. As SWC's CFO, he is furthermore responsible for all organisational, legal and business matters.

Andreas Koller - CTO

Andreas Koller Banner

Andreas Koller is also co-founder of the Semantic Web Company, applying his technological expertise as the company's CTO. One focus of his activity is on the evaluation of tools for the Semantic Web. In this role, he has contributed to the technical implementation of semantic technologies in numerous projects, with the design of system architectures and concepts being a key aspect where customer added-value can be generated through the use of semantic technologies.

Marion Fugléwicz-Bren - Communications Manager

Marion Fugléwicz-Bren

Marion Fugléwicz-Bren is a journalist and author whose expertise is in the presentation and communication of complex topics. She is also head to a Public Relations course offered in Vienna. Her professional experience includes work as a freelance journalist, author and communications consultant since 1987, contributions to various national and multinational, academic as well as corporate publication projects, development of PR and media concepts, radio broadcasts, online and print publishing projects, as well as positions in editing and content management.

Thomas Schandl - Project Coordinator

Thomas Schandl

Thomas Schandl studied business administration at Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, where he was also employed at the Dept. for Advertising and Marketing Research. In the course of his studies, he specialised in Business Informatics, writing his diploma thesis on reputation systems on the Semantic Web. After completing is degree, he worked on the SIOC project at DERI Galway in Ireland. In August 2008, he joined the Semantic Web Company as semantic web developer and consultant, where his focus is on semantic technologies in the context of Social Software and Wikis and their implementation in businesses.

Michael Zach - Solution Consultant

Michael Zach Banner

Michael Zach studied Computer Sciences and Biology and specialized in AI and computer aided software engineering. He started his professional career as a technical consultant for model based programming  and large scale multi platform deployments. During his years as a freelancer his focus shifted towards online data mining and distributed web services. In July 2008, he joined the Semantic Web Company as semantic web developer and consultant, where his emphasis is on integrating semantic technologies into enterprise environments.

Thomas Thurner - Project Coordinator

Thomas Thurner Banner

Finishing his education on an austrian "higher technical education institute"(HTL), Thomas startet his career at Schlumberger Industries'  R&D-Department as an developing engineer for energy consumption meters. The parallel begun studies at the University for communication studies lead him to the field of radio. Thomas startet as an radiopirat in the early 90ies and was thereafter one of the founding fathers of viennas first community radio. From 1997 to 2002 he was responsible for the fundraising department of the station. Beginning 2002 Thomas an some colleagues launched the SpinOut-Company "Team Teichenberg" active in the fields of audio exchange, streaming, eLearning and podcasting. 2006 he was in charge of a two years project on setting up an innovation hub on behalt of Telekom Austria. Beginning in 2008 Thomas is now responsible for developing "enterprise WIKIS" at Semantic Web Company, where he will bring in especially knowledge of setting up processes, projects and corporate communication.
